Based in Redlands, California, Clay Vanessa's focus has been to write original music that is as thought provoking as it is entertaining. Clay
Vanessa blends jazz, latin, and funk-rock into a captivating pop/newrock hybrid.
Lead singer and bass player Mark Teixeira, formerly of the band Edison Red, formed Clay Vanessa with guitarist/vocalist Jeff Rosenzweig. Jeff is
known for his work with Orange County alternative bands Misfit Toys and Who's Harriet. Tim Gilsen was brought on board for his excellent guitar and vocal talents exhibited with the widely recognised rock band Sybil,
a regular of the L.A. club circuit. Finally, Jesse Littrell was lured from his Long Beach, California band, Sleeping Giant, bringing his drum and percussion skills to the line-up.
As Clay Vanessa, these artists have formed something so refreshingly inventive that they will continue to move audiences and win devoted fans
wherever, and whenever they are heard.
